Writer’s Block or My Cat Is Part Holstein

It’s not a matter of my brain not being able to think of things to write about.  I’ve got stories to tell, believe me.  Since there is this beast of a cat blocking my every attempt to touch the keyboard I thought I’d take a few photos as proof that the blockage is merely physical …and it happens almost every morning.  Sometimes she will actually lay across the keys to hinder my entries.  What a cow she is, maybe part HolsteinI can’t resist.  She knows my weaknesses.  When she puts out a begging paw…  …I have to give her a scratch behind the ears  …and the cheeks   …and the top of the head  …but the back, aaaahhhh that’s the ticket.  Now that she’s perfectly happy, she curls up in my lap and allows me to blog.  By the way,  since I am now unblocked, I would like to share with you the delicious breakfast I had with my daughter.  In a large skillet I sauteed leeks, celery, onion, mushrooms, and grape tomatoes, then beat two eggs and added them to the skillet.  I turned everything over a few times until the eggs were set, plated our breakfast, topped it with a little shredded jack cheese, spicy salsa, fresh cilantro, with a piece of toast and now we’re finely fueled for a busy day.  As for this one, I had to put her out to do what cats are supposed to do…hunt for mice!

    • Thank you bunches! She’s a hoot/nuisance and I just love the little beast. Funny how dogs do it too. I have this battle almost every time I blog so I thought what the heck, I’ll include her antics this time.

So sweet! Your cat is at one point even smiling! But let me tell you I know how this routine works! One of my cats, Mimi (F) is my shadow and follows me day and night. Same thing as yours she jumps on my lap and I have to do the “works”.
Your breakfast with the little Diva are getting out of hand~ Do you do take outs?
Nice post Diva! I enjoyed very much! 🙂

    • I don’t mind the “works” so much but it’s shedding season. Ak!

Takeouts? My F-150 gets the worst mileage, but that’s why I blog…so you can eat in 🙂 I appreciate the compliment though.

  3. Oh no, not more veggies for breakfast! You cat looks like a big one, how much does she weigh if it is not indiscreet to ask?

    • I just crave those veggies! Can’t wait til the garden is producing more. My little Holstein (name’s Bessie) as I like to call her, dresses out at about 10 lbs. She’s all fluff.
