A Worthy Tuber

I want to put as few words in this post as possible because words aren’t enough to describe the warm yumminess of the sweet potato.   Here’s the how to:  Two big baked potatoes, 10 minutes in the microwave, leave in for 20 minutes after cooking.  Cut open, add a dot of butter, and a teaspoon of brown sugar… but I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Questionn: Why not bake a yam or a sweet potato instead? I grew up eating sweet potatoes, several different ways.
I see that your potato looks yellow, why’s that? Yesterday we ate the penne with all the ingredients you listed, we loved it! Today we ate the banana bread, it’s equally delicious (we used the over ripe bananas) Thanks for the recipes! I see that as a Diva you have your royal food taster! 🙂

    • They are a bit better baked I think, but the microwave does a nice job and doesn’t heat up my teeny kitchen as badly. Don’t know why they look so yellow in the photo. They were pumpkin-orange in real life. There are dozens of tuber varieties out there too…You’ve got me curious now. And the taster…she’s such a peanut, I’m glad when she’s eating something so good for her…and liking it. The brown sugar might just be dancing on the border of bribery though…
