Super Simple Summer Snack
This recipe epitomizes the phrase “Less is more”. If you are having a party,a casual gathering, or just want a delicious snack for yourself and your family, this two ingredient recipe is a quick way to achieve it.
If you have an herb garden or happen to grow chives in your window or sun room…perhaps you have a neighbor who will share theirs or you know where they grow wild, all you need to do is cut off a dozen leaves or so, snip them into little bits and stir them into a few dollops of sour cream (I add a dash each of salt and pepper just for fun) and let it sit in the ‘fridge until the chives impart their oniony goodness and fresh flavor into the sour cream.
Have it with crisps or a bunch of freshly chopped veggies. You could go casual and eat out of the container, or go all diva and serve it in your best crystal dishes. If I had fancy crystal, that’s what I’d do. Oh well, using the flowers to further dress things up is a good distraction from the ordinary. The fresh taste is not so ordinary. Use more or less chives to suit your own taste.
